TiO Service Charter

What stakeholders, beneficiaries, partners and the public can expect from Total Impact Organisation — in writing.

1 Introduction

Total Impact Organisation (TiO) is a non-profit, charitable organisation duly registered with the Non-Governmental Organisations Regulatory Authority (NGORA) of Malawi. TiO exists to serve communities, particularly the most vulnerable, by delivering sustainable, inclusive and transformative development interventions.

This Service Charter outlines TiO's commitment to ethical service delivery, accountability, transparency and community-centered development, and defines what stakeholders, beneficiaries, partners and the public can expect from the Organisation.

2 Legal and Charitable Status

  • TiO is a non-profit and charitable organisation.
  • TiO does not operate for private gain and does not distribute profits or assets to individuals.
  • All resources mobilised by TiO are used exclusively for public benefit and charitable purposes, in line with its Constitution and the laws of Malawi.
  • TiO operates in compliance with the NGO Act, NGORA regulations and other applicable national policies.

4 Mission

To implement impactful, evidence-based programmes that improve livelihoods, promote education, health and environmental sustainability, advance gender equality and youth empowerment, and strengthen community resilience.

Sustainable Livelihoods and Economic Empowerment

8 Accountability and Transparency

As a charitable organisation, TiO commits to:

  • Proper financial management and external audits
  • Regular reporting to NGORA, donors and stakeholders
  • Ethical fundraising and responsible resource utilisation
  • Zero tolerance to fraud, corruption and abuse

9 Rights and Responsibilities of Beneficiaries

Beneficiaries have the right to:

  • Access services without discrimination
  • Be treated with respect and dignity
  • Provide feedback or lodge complaints without fear of retaliation

Beneficiaries are expected to:

  • Participate honestly and responsibly
  • Respect TiO staff, volunteers and partners
  • Use provided support for its intended charitable purpose

10 Complaints and Feedback Mechanism

TiO encourages feedback to improve service delivery. Complaints and suggestions may be submitted through:

  • Official communication channels
  • Designated programme officers
  • Written correspondence to TiO offices

11 Adoption and Review

This Service Charter is adopted by the Board of Directors of Total Impact Organisation (TiO) and shall be reviewed periodically to ensure relevance, effectiveness and compliance with regulatory requirements.
